WTTV with Diggstown Creator: Feb. 25

diggstown

The WGC is pleased to announce the next edition of our Writers Talking TV series, taking place at TIFF Bell Lightbox on Feb. 25,  will feature Diggstown creator/showrunner Floyd Kane and series writers Lynn Coady (Sensitive Skin, Unspeakable) and Ellen Vanstone (Rookie Blue, Remedy). Fellow WGC member JP Larocque (Slasher, Another Life) will be guiding the conversation as moderator.

Diggstown centres around big city lawyer Marcie Diggs who gives up her practice to work in a Dartmouth, N.S.-based legal aid clinic where the team of lawyers confronts issues of racism, poverty and gender bias on a daily basis. And as the groundbreaking CBC series heads into its second season on March 4, Kane, Coady and Vanstone will discuss how they've translated Kane's very personal vision for the legal drama to the screen.

The event is free, but seating is limited. To save a spot at the TIFF Bell Lightbox, please RSVP to Shannon Bokowski ([email protected]). Doors open at 6:30 with the discussion and screening taking place from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
