WTTV: Family Law set for October 27

family law

Renewed for a second season even before it made its first-season debut on Global TV, Family Law has been making waves with its decidedly different twist on the term family practice. Set in Vancouver, the series follows lawyer and recovering alcoholic Abigail "Abby" Bianchi (Jewel Staite) struggling to put her career and family back together after hitting rock bottom. As a condition of her probation, Abby is forced to work at her estranged father’s (Victor Garber) firm and practice family law for the first time while working alongside her half siblings whom she’s never met.

In this edition of Writers Talking TV, Susin Nielsen (creator and showrunner), Sarah Dodd (co-executive producer), Sonja Bennett (Supervising Producer), Ken Craw (Supervising Producer) and Corey Liu (Executive Story Editor) will discuss what goes into making the show with host Michael MacLennan (Tiny Pretty Things, The Bletchley Circle: San Francisco).

The free event will take place via Zoom on Wednesday, October 27 at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT. Please register HERE, if you'd like to attend.
