Registration by mail or in person
Material to be registered may be mailed or hand delivered to:

The material should preferably be in 8 1/2" x 11" format (faxed or emailed copies are not acceptable) and must be accompanied by a cover page or the WGC registration form indicating:
- Full legal name of each writer - if using a pseudonym, include both legal name and pseudonym in the following format: "John Doe writing as Jim Doe".
- Mailing address of each writer
- Telephone number of each writer
- Title of material
- Type of material - e.g. feature film script
Attach a cheque or money order made out to the Writers Guild of Canada to the material (click here for the applicable fees).
When the material is received it is dated, assigned a registration number and sealed in a Guild registration envelope. The writer is issued both a receipt and a registration number to be noted on the material when circulated.
Please note that in cases where there are multiple writers of the literary material, the receipt is issued in the name of the first writer listed on the cover page.
